Senior Fluid Slurry Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 8+ years of field experience in mud engineering, drilling fluids, slurry systems, or solids control operations
  • Experience with CRI (Cuttings Reinjection), slurry injection, or waste reinjection operations
  • Strong knowledge of tank systems, mixing operations, and slurry conditioning
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead field teams

Requirements:

  • Design, prepare, and optimize slurry formulations for waste injection and disposal operations
  • Supervise low-pressure slurry mixing and transfer (tanks, circulation, low-pressure transfer/recirculation pumps and lines) up to pre-injection readiness, including monitoring slurry properties (density, viscosity, solids content) to ensure optimal performance and injectivity
  • Attend high-pressure injection operations for advisory oversight and support troubleshooting of slurry-related issues
  • Prepare daily operational reports, slurry logs, and technical documentation

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Fluid Slurry Engineer (8+ years) to oversee a remote industrial waste slurrification and reinjection operation in Saudi Arabia.

The Senior Fluid Slurry Engineer will be responsible for the design, management, and optimization of slurry systems associated with waste injection and fluids handling operations in accordance with engineering and operational management guidelines, and in compliance with all standard operating procedures, safety standards, and field guidelines established by the company, local partners, and end customers.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, preparing, and optimizing slurry formulations for waste injection and disposal operations
  • Supervising low-pressure slurry mixing and transfer (tanks, circulation, low-pressure transfer/recirculation pumps and lines) up to pre-injection readiness, including monitoring slurry properties (density, viscosity, solids content) to ensure optimal performance and injectivity
  • Attending high-pressure injection operations for advisory oversight (monitor formation response; recommend hold/stop per subsurface guidance), and supporting troubleshooting of slurry-related issues such as plugging, pressure buildup, or inconsistent flow behavior
  • No operation of high-pressure pumps, high-pressure lines, and wellhead equipment (handled by the pumping partner)
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Coordinating with field crews, site supervisors, operational partners, and end customers to ensure efficient and safe execution of operations
  • Preparing daily operational reports, slurry logs, and technical documentation
  • Evaluating system performance and recommending adjustments to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Supporting waste management strategies in line with injection and disposal services
  • Assisting in training and mentoring field personnel on slurry handling and best practices

Requirements

  • 8+ years of field experience in mud engineering, drilling fluids, slurry systems, or solids control operations
  • Experience with CRI (Cuttings Reinjection), slurry injection, or waste reinjection operations
  • Strong knowledge of tank systems, mixing operations, and slurry conditioning
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead field teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and operational problem-solving skills
  • Middle East/GCC experience is preferred
  • Strong HSE awareness and compliance mindset
  • Candidates who are available to join immediately will be highly preferred
