We are hiring a Program Officer to lead the management of research on sexual and reproductive health. This position is ideal for candidates with experience supporting all phases of the research process who have strong quantitative and qualitative skills and are interested in applying data science to pressing public health issues. The role will involve coordinating administrative aspects of the study, managing survey datasets, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, drafting manuscripts for publication, and providing broader research support as needed.
Specific Responsibilities
- Clean, manage, and analyze large, complex datasets using statistical software.
- Manage and analyze qualitative data.
- Contribute to study design, data interpretation, and statistical modeling.
- Draft and edit manuscript for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide mentorship to graduate students as needed.
- Support administrative aspects of related grants, including IRB submissions and amendments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Three years of related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Demography, or related field.
- Proficient in Stata and/or R.
- Strong publication record demonstrating related content-area expertise.
- Five or more years’ experience supporting or leading research on related topics.
- Strong critical thinking and analytic reasoning skills.
