Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Lab Operations Manager to join our team. This is a remote position. 

 

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm  

 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Support the operational design, financial modeling, and implementation of strategic business partnerships with hospitals and health systems. 

  • Contribute to long-term relationship management by monitoring performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, and ensuring partnership objectives are met. 

  • Perform detailed operational and financial data analysis for large healthcare systems to identify improvement opportunities, operational efficiencies, and cost-saving strategies. 

  • Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations aligned with strategic partnership goals. 

  • Conduct comprehensive operational assessments across laboratory workflows, staffing, equipment utilization, and productivity. 

  • Develop and present process improvement recommendations that enhance operational performance and support strategic objectives. 

  • Lead MSA (Management Services Agreement) implementation efforts as project manager, including creation of project plans, timelines, communication structures, and risk mitigation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in science 

  • ASCP or AMT certification

  • 5 years clinical lab experience 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree  

  • Project management experience 

  • Hospital or reference lab experience 

  • Leadership experience 

 

 

Additional Job Standards: 

  • Proficient in Excel 

  • Travel 20%-30% 

  • Excellent customer service and presentation skills 

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Pay Range: $100K - $130K 

 

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior experience, applicable degree/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.    

 

Benefits:  Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.  Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.  Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.  For more detailed information, please click here.
