JOB SUMMARY

Avid Technology is looking for People Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, HRIS transactions in Workday, and offboarding, while serving as the first point of contact for HR inquiries and partnering with Payroll, HRBPs, and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience.

This role is a Remote position based in the Philippines, with a work schedule of 09:00 PM to 06:00 AM with occasional onsite reporting at our BGC office (approximately once a month to once every two months) for filing, records, and audit purposes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as first point of contact to HR inquiries via ServiceNow, providing accurate, timely, and empathetic support
  • Assign and/or escalate HR inquiries as necessary and as quickly as possible
  • Execute employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, terminations, job and compensation changes, and manager transfers
  • Maintain accurate employee data and ensure compliance with internal controls and local employment regulations
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including systems setup, benefits orientation, stakeholder communications, and Workday updates
  • Partner with HR Business Partners on policy guidance, performance concerns, and employee relations matters
  • Collaborate with Payroll on salary audits, final pay instructions, and unemployment claim processing
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports as needed
  • Assist in tracking completion of compliance training
  • Identify trends in employee inquiries and contribute to the improvement of HR processes and knowledge base content
  • Identify process improvements and communicate across stakeholders to form recommendations
  • Support wellness, engagement, or other HR initiatives and projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of HR operations experience, preferably in a regional or global support role

  • Working knowledge of global employment practices and HR operations
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools such as Workday and ServiceNow
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer-first mindset
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams
  • Critical thinking skills and sound judgment in handling unique or complex employee scenarios
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to balance responsiveness with compliance requirements
