Confident demeanor when engaging with political decision-makers and public institutions, with an understanding of the relevant decision-making processes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex issues for different audiences; enjoy networking and representing sofatutor in talks or panel discussions.
Willingness to travel nationwide within Germany (approx. 1-2 events per month) and native-level German with good English for internal communication.

Responsibilities

Networking: build relationships with policymakers, ministries, and school authorities—especially at the state level.
Representation: represent sofatutor at conferences, trade fairs, public events, and in committees.
Monitoring and strategy development: monitor regulatory developments and prepare strategic recommendations for our team and organization.
Sales and negotiation: direct sales of our school products to states, school authorities, and municipal educational institutions, and successful negotiation of product options and contract terms.

sofatutor ist eine digitale Lernplattform für fast 2 Millionen Kinder, Schüler*innen, Eltern und Lehrkräfte. Als Public Affairs Manager gestaltest du die Bildungspolitik in Deutschland aktiv mit: Du vertrittst das Unternehmen in der Politik, vernetzt dich mit Ministerien, Ländern und Verbänden und treibst digitale Bildung voran. Gemeinsam mit der Director Business Development Schools bewegst du dich sicher in den Schaltzentren der Bildungspolitik – von Kultusministerien bis zu kommunalen Schulträgern.

Dein Verantwortungsbereich:

Netzwerkarbeit: Aufbau von Beziehungen zu Politik, Ministerien, Schulträgern – insbesondere in den Bundesländern.
Repräsentanz: Repräsentation von sofatutor auf Konferenzen, Messen, öffentlichen Veranstaltungen und in Ausschüssen.
Monitoring und Strategieentwicklung: Überwachung regulatorischer Entwicklungen sowie Erstellung strategischer Handlungsempfehlungen für unser Team und unsere Organisation.
Vertrieb & Verhandlung: Direktvertrieb unserer Schulprodukte an Länder, Schulträger und kommunale Bildungseinrichtungen sowie erfolgreiche Verhandlung von Produktoptionen und Vertragsbedingungen.
Politische Kommunikation: Erstellung von Positionspapieren, Briefings und politischen Kommunikationsmaterialien.

Das bringst du mit:

Fundierte Erfahrung in Public Affairs, Government Relations, politischer Kommunikation oder einem vergleichbaren Umfeld – idealerweise mit Bezug zur (digitalen) Bildungsbranche.
Sicheres Auftreten im Umgang mit politischen Entscheidungsträger*innen und öffentlichen Institutionen sowie Verständnis der dazugehörigen Entscheidungsprozesse.
Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsstärke und die Fähigkeit, komplexe Sachverhalte für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen prägnant aufzubereiten.
Freude am Netzwerken und Lust, sofatutor mit Vorträgen oder in Podiumsdiskussionen eine Stimme zu geben.
Reisebereitschaft innerhalb Deutschlands, um sofatutor regelmäßig auf Messen oder anderen Netzwerktreffen zu repräsentieren (ca. 1-2 Mal pro Monat).
Deutsch auf muttersprachlichem Niveau sowie gute Englischkenntnisse für die interne Kommunikation.
Kenntnisse relevanter bildungspolitischer Institutionen und Prozesse (KMK, Bund, Bildungsministerien, Schulgesetze der Länder) von Vorteil.
