Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Hospice Medical Director to provide PRN support for the Peninsula region. This role is ideal for a physician who is interested in contributing in an administrative and clinical oversight capacity within a collaborative hospice care model.

The Medical Director will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical appropriateness of hospice services, with a primary focus on the review, approval, and recertification of Certificates of Terminal Illness (CTIs). This position partners closely with hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary hospice teams to support high‑quality, patient‑centered end‑of‑life care.
