Requirements:

  • Answer patient calls in the Primary Care Call Center and obtain necessary information to process the call
  • Maintain knowledge of each practice and provider's schedule and scheduling preferences; schedule and confirm appointments
  • Coordinate with practice staff and providers regarding patient care and coordination, including establishing pre-visit planning protocols and determining insurance eligibility
  • Notate timely, accurate information in the EMR and communicate the after-care plan to patients

What you will do: 

  • Answer patient telephone calls coming into the Primary Care Call Center and obtain necessary information from the patient to process the call.
  • Have knowledge of each practice and provider's schedule and scheduling preferences.
  • Interact with Practice staff and providers to communicate and work cooperatively regarding all aspects of patient care and coordination, including:
    • Establishing pre-visit planning protocols and determining insurance eligibility.
    • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
    • Timely, effective, and accurate information notated in the practice EMR system.
    • Communicating with patients about the after-care plan.
  • Act professionally and treat patients, co-workers, and leadership with respect always.

Required: 

  • Knowledge of health care and or related products, medical terminology, insurance products, and coordination of benefits
  • Ability to communicate with others effectively in a concise manner.
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Must work EST hours
  • Comfortable working remotely with the ability to commute to our corporate locations in either Nashville, TN, or Westwood, MA.
