RESPA Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience in mortgage loan processing or RESPA-related roles
  • Knowledge of RESPA redisclosures, TRID, HOEPA, QM, HPML/High Cost, and related compliance standards
  • Strong data entry, verification, and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy
  • Ability to coordinate workflow with brokers, branches, and Account Executives

Requirements:

  • Complete change of circumstance requests and redisclosures within applicable timelines
  • Verify fees accuracy in accordance with loan program and loan purpose
  • Ensure loans meet investor, regulatory, and state compliance standards (TRID, HOEPA, QM, HPML/High Cost, Originator Compensation, VA/Non-Allowable Fees)
  • Utilize daily RESPA redisclosure reports to ensure redisclosures are performed in a timely manner

  • Complete change of circumstance requests and re-disclose within allowable timeline as applicable
  • Verify accuracy of fees in accordance with applicable loan program and loan purpose
  • Ensure loan meets all investor, regulatory, and state compliance standards including but not limited to TRID, HOEPA, QM, HPML/High Cost, Originator Compensation, and VA Allowable/Non-Allowable Fees
  • Utilize daily RESPA Redisclosure reports to ensure redisclosures are performed in a timely manner
  • Re-Run AUS as needed for loan amount/rate/loan term changes
  • Under general supervision, perform data entry, verification and editing of mortgage loans submitted by brokers or branches
  • Address errors and inconsistencies with data while preparing files for the next phase of the approval process
  • Manage the Set-Up phase of the loan approval process; meeting pipeline expectations
  • Assemble documents provided by brokers into loan file
  • Enter loan data in OPS system, run operational systems as needed
  • Verify all data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors in source documents
  • Coordinate workflow with brokers, branches, Account Executives and team
