  • Implement the broader Operation Homefront development strategy in partnership with the development team and support activation of national partnerships at the regional level.
  • Draft and maintain the regional revenue pipeline and provide regular updates to the Senior Regional Director of Development.

Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military and veteran families by improving their financial, emotional, and social well-being. Operation Homefront is sourcing candidates for a Manager, Regional Development position in Operation Homefront’s West Region (all states west of and including New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana acceptable).


The Manager, Regional Development, plays a critical role in driving approximately $1.6M in annual budgeted revenue for either the Western, Central or Eastern Region, a portion of which will be uniquely their responsibility via their annual revenue goal. Under the supervision of the Sr. Director, Regional Development, the Regional Development Manager will manage a portfolio of donors through the entire moves management process – identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and renewal. The position will also be expected to find and close new revenue opportunities, primarily corporate and foundation revenue opportunities. This position will partner with the broader Development Team to carry out a connected and holistic development strategy that supports broader Operation Homefront programmatic and brand goals, including the activation of national partnerships at the regional level. This position also partners with the Marketing Team to produce and provide necessary stewardship and impact communication materials for regional donors. 


Desired candidates will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred, master’s degree a plus. 
  • 3 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising and marketing desired
  • Experience with military families and programs preferred.
  • Experience with grant writing preferred
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) preferred.

Primary job duties include:

  • Builds, cultivates, and stewards relationships with established and prospective regional corporate and foundation donors in support of the approximately $1.6M regional revenue goal. 
  • Manage all aspects of the moves management process for a portion of the portfolio which the RDM is the primary relationship manager for.
  • Implement the broader OH development strategy in partnership with the greater development team. 
  • Helps draft and maintain the regional revenue pipeline and updates the Senior Regional Director of Development on a regular basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Other Details:

General office and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events as needed. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
