Customer Service Representative

Summary

The Delivery People is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing & Order Entry Coordinator with experience in U.S. domestic transportation. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate customer billing, timely order entry, and supporting quoting activities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable in freight and logistics billing practices, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Billing

• Generate accurate invoices based on shipment details and rate agreements
  
• Review completed delivery documentation for accuracy and applicable accessorial charges
  
• Ensure all billing is completed within required timelines (daily/weekly cycles)
  
• Resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams and customers
  

Order Entry

• Enter domestic freight orders into TMS or internal systems
  
• Verify completeness of shipment details (weight, dimensions, service type, etc.)
  
• Maintain high accuracy to prevent service or billing issues
  

Quote Support

• Assist in entering and managing rate quotes in the system
  
• Follow up on incomplete quote requests or missing information
  
• Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure timely and accurate quotes
  

Required Experience & Skills

• 2+ years of billing or order entry experience in transportation/logistics
  
• Strong understanding of U.S. domestic freight (LTL, FTL, or air)
  
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Familiarity with TMS or ERP platforms preferred
  
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, rate tables, and documentation
  
• Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accessorial charges, fuel surcharges, and freight billing terms
  
• Background in both order entry and billing within a freight forwarder or 3PL
  
• Basic understanding of quoting processes and customer pricing models
