Job description

Important Notice: This is not an advertisement for a specific open vacancy or full-time employment. Foreground is building a curated network of independent trainers and facilitators to deliver learning engagements on a project basis as mandates arise across our client portfolio. Approved network members will be contacted directly when a relevant engagement is confirmed.

About Foreground

Foreground is a people and organizational advisory firm headquartered in the UAE, serving clients across the GCC and MENA region. We operate across three integrated practice areas: Advisory, covering HR strategy and organizational design; Learning, covering leadership development and capability building; and Talent, covering executive search and embedded recruitment.

Our Learning practice designs and delivers high-impact development experiences for leaders, managers, and teams across the region. We work with organizations that are serious about building capability, not just completing training hours.

The Network Opportunity

Foreground maintains a vetted network of independent trainers and facilitators who are engaged on a project basis when client mandates align with their expertise. Network membership is not employment. It is a professional partnership through which trainers gain access to quality client engagements, while retaining the independence and flexibility of their own practice.

When a learning engagement within your area of expertise is confirmed, we will contact you directly to discuss content, logistics, format, and commercial terms. All engagements are subject to mutual agreement, with no obligation on either side.

Role Overview

  • Role Title: Associate Trainer (Network Contractor)
  • Practice Area: Learning
  • Engagement Type: Independent Contractor, Project-Based
  • Delivery Format: In-person, Virtual, or Blended, depending on client program design
  • Geography: UAE, Saudi Arabia, and broader GCC and MENA markets
  • Engagement Duration: Variable, from single-day workshops to multi-week programs
  • Language: English required. Arabic delivery capability highly valued.

Scope of Learning Work

Trainers within our network are engaged to design, facilitate, and deliver across a range of leadership and organizational capability programs. Typical engagement scopes include:

  • Leadership development programs for senior leaders, mid-level managers, and high-potential talent
  • Management skills development, including coaching for performance, delegation, feedback, and team effectiveness
  • Organizational culture and values workshops, including behavioral frameworks and culture change facilitation
  • Communication and executive presence programs for professional and leadership audiences
  • Emotional intelligence, resilience, and wellbeing at work facilitation
  • Emiratisation and national talent development programs, designed to accelerate the growth of UAE national professionals
  • Human resources capability building for HR teams undergoing transformation or upskilling
  • Change management and organizational readiness workshops
  • Psychometric and assessment tool facilitation, such as MBTI, DiSC, Hogan, or equivalent instruments
  • Custom learning design and instructional development for client-specific programs, where relevant

What We Look For

We are selective about who joins our network. We look for trainers who combine subject matter depth with genuine facilitation skill and the cultural intelligence to work effectively across the GCC and MENA.

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a trainer, facilitator, or L&D professional, with a preference for those who have delivered to corporate or organizational audiences
  • Demonstrable expertise in one or more of the content areas outlined above
  • Proven ability to adapt facilitation style to diverse audiences, including senior executives, mixed-language groups, and cross-cultural teams in the GCC context
  • Strong design instincts, including the ability to review or adapt content, contribute to program architecture, and align learning objectives to business outcomes
  • Comfort working within a partner firm's branding and delivery standards, while bringing your own expertise and facilitation energy
  • Fluency in English. Bilingual Arabic and English delivery is a significant differentiator in our market.
  • Relevant certifications are an advantage, including CPTD, Train the Trainer accreditations, ICF coaching credentials, or licensed tool certifications such as MBTI, DiSC, Hogan, or EQ-i
  • Experience delivering virtually, including proficiency with platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or LMS-integrated environments

What Foreground Offers Network Members

  • Priority briefing on confirmed learning engagements before they are offered more broadly
  • Professionally designed program materials, facilitator guides, and participant workbooks, so you can focus on delivery rather than content production
  • A clear and transparent contracting process, with agreed deliverables, timelines, and commercial terms documented before any engagement commences
  • Competitive, market-referenced day rates, with transparent commercial terms
  • A collaborative design relationship where your input is valued in shaping the program before delivery
  • Post-engagement feedback and an opportunity to deepen your relationship with Foreground as our pipeline grows
  • Access to Foreground's growing client portfolio across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC

How Engagement Works

  • Upon acceptance into our network, your profile will be catalogued by topic expertise, delivery format, language capability, and geographic availability
  • When a confirmed engagement aligns with your profile, Foreground will contact you with a program brief and gauge your interest and availability
  • If there is a fit, we will share a full facilitation brief, program design, and logistics plan
  • Engagement is formalized through a Consulting and Facilitation Services Agreement, covering scope, deliverables, timelines, fees, confidentiality, and intellectual property
  • Payment is structured on a per-diem or project-completion basis, with clear invoice and settlement timelines
  • There is no exclusivity requirement. You are free to maintain your own client relationships and other professional commitments throughout.

How to Apply

If your background aligns with the profile above, we invite you to apply for network membership. Please submit the following:

  • A current CV with specific emphasis on facilitation and training engagements
  • A brief overview (no more than one page) of your primary topic areas, your facilitation approach, and the types of audiences and programs you are best suited to
  • Any sample materials, program outlines, or participant feedback you are able to share, subject to confidentiality
  • Your preferred delivery geographies and any relevant constraints
  • An indication of your day rate or preferred fee structure
