Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strong proficiency in Scala (Scala 2.13) including collections, Futures, immutability, and pattern matching; backend development with Play Framework (Pekko-based)
  • Experience designing and building scalable backend systems; proficient with MySQL and Redis; SQL optimization (indexes, performance tuning, profiling)
  • Cloud and DevOps experience with AWS services; CI/CD pipelines; Git and pull request workflows
  • Knowledge of monitoring/observability and data access libraries (Squeryl or Doobie); production experience with Play/Pekko and distributed systems

Requirements:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala and Play Framework (Pekko-based)
  • Optimize database interactions (MySQL, Redis) with SQL indexing, performance tuning, and profiling
  • Work with AWS services, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage Git processes and pull requests to ensure smooth production deployments
  • Build and maintain observability: Grafana/Kibana dashboards and alerts; leverage Squeryl or Doobie for data access; contribute to reliability of distributed systems in production

  • Mínimo 4 años de experiencia, valorable 5–6+ años
