ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a strategic client services leader (Account Director) with deep digital and performance marketing experience supporting Enterprise organizations.

The Account Director is a senior, client-facing leader responsible for owning and growing key client relationships while driving long-term business impact. This role sits at the forefront of our client partnerships, shaping strategy, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring our work delivers against client business objectives.

As both a strategic advisor and team leader, the Account Director operates with a high degree of independence—proactively identifying opportunities, navigating complex challenges, and influencing senior client stakeholders. This individual plays a critical role in defining the vision for client engagements, elevating the quality of work, and expanding partnerships.

The ideal candidate brings a strong digital marketing foundation, thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, and demonstrates exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking. They are comfortable managing a portfolio of large, complex accounts, building executive-level relationships, and using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and growth.

This is a newly created role to support the team’s growth. To qualify candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and lead strategic direction across a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives
  • Serve as the strategic partner and lead relationships for the agency with Director, VP, and C-level client stakeholders
  • Drive proactive, insight-led recommendations that shape client marketing strategies and business outcomes
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong alignment across disciplines
  • Identify and unlock opportunities for account growth, expansion, and deeper partnership across NP Digital services
  • Operate autonomously in managing client relationships, anticipating needs, mitigating risks, and resolving complex challenges
  • Oversee account health, including forecasting, resourcing, and financial performance
  • Champion a best-in-class client experience while continuously elevating internal processes and team performance

ABOUT YOU

  • 7+ years of experience in a digital marketing agency environment, with deep expertise in Performance Marketing and Integrated Digital Strategy
  • 3+ years of experience leading large, complex Enterprise-level client engagements with full ownership and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic advisor to VP- and C-level stakeholders, influencing business decisions and marketing direction
  • Proven track record of developing and leading complex, integrated marketing strategies across SEO, SEM, Paid Social, Display, Content, and other performance channels
  • Strong experience driving account growth, including identifying opportunities, expanding scope, and deepening client partnerships
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports or developing a cross-functional team of indirect reports
  • Highly autonomous, proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and influence at the executive level
  • Strong working knowledge of data, analytics, and performance measurement to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications are a plus

ABOUT THE COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: USD $120,000 to $135,000; depending on experience and skills
  • Commission eligible
  • Bonus eligible
