Positions in this sub-family are responsible for identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities that could affect growth and profitability of the organization. Activities include:

•Identifying growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitating cross-business unit initiatives

•Evaluating and financial modeling of potential merger, acquisition, divestment, partnership, and joint venture opportunities

•Monitoring medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership

•Identifying and developing optimal revenue models, sales/distribution channels, pricing, and new product development strategies

•Identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships including financial arrangements, customer sharing, and intellectual property rights

•Prioritizing and tracking investments across new product development initiatives. Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.

• Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.

• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Develops, monitors, and collaborates with leadership in establishing its strategic direction and objectives and creates long-term strategic and business development plans.

Supports the development of recommendations and approaches for strategic and operational improvements.

Identifies and reviews industry and market trends; analyzes and applies this information in development of strategies for market segments.

May assess metrics to gauge the success of new strategies.

The annual base salary for this position is $120,000 - $140,000.
