Requirements:

  • Plan, produce, and implement internal and external communications tactics for projects, programs, and services related to the VSP Vision employee experience and employment branding across varied channels and audience segments

  • Work with business partners to execute employee communication programs that meet company objectives in areas such as employee engagement and enablement
  • Identify employment branding and activation opportunities, stay current on trends, and educate and support partners on employment-brand related issues and opportunities

Job description

Under general direction, plan, produce, and implement internal and external communications tactics for projects, programs, and services related to the VSP Vision employee experience and employment branding, with discrete audience and talent market segments and via varied channels.

Develops and executes employee communication plans, working with internal and external partners across multiple business units as necessary to achieve stated objectives, including employee retention and attraction

Works closely with business partners to execute employee communication programs that meet company objectives, including those in the areas of employee engagement and enablement

Identifies employment branding and activation opportunities and keeps up to date on trends to understand evolving employee experience and talent acquisition expectations

Partners with internal/external business partners to ensure communications program positioning/promotion is aligned and effective

Demonstrates the department's best practices in all areas of internal communications, employment branding, and employee experience, developing and writing content that aligns with and supports organizational objectives

Serves as a central resource for employment brand-related information; educates and supports business partners on employment-brand related issues and opportunities

Coordinates with business partners in creating and deploying employment brand-building communication programs and materials

Writes clear, concise, on-brand content that engages and informs the workforce and supports talent acquisition goals

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Resources, or related experience 

Two years’ experience in internal communications work, through a variety of mediums and customized content to varied employee audiences

Demonstrated ability to recommend internal communication approaches and messaging based on audience segments

Ability to effectively use a variety of communication mediums and customize content for targeted audiences

Ability to use creative ideas to research, present, and recommend employee experience proposals

Strong writing, editing, communication, and planning skills. Ability to write documentation and reports that are clear, complete, and understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to organize individual responsibilities for multiple tasks, resulting in the timely and accurate completion and delivery tasks

Excellent interpersonal skills to foster cooperation amongst business partners and coordinate internal as well as external resource/workload

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, employment branding platforms, and desktop publishing applications

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here. 

Salary Ranges: $58,656.00 - $92,328.00
