WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a senior change leader who specializes in driving adoption of Salesforce solutions in complex federal environments. This role is ideal for someone who combines Human‑Centered Design, structured change management, and strategic storytelling to help organizations move beyond adoption “compliance” toward real behavioral change. You are comfortable working with executives and frontline staff, translating technology shifts into human‑relevant outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to our Delivery Operations Manager, as a Full-Time Specialist on our team, you will lead the human side of Salesforce modernization for IRS teams, ensuring new platforms are intuitive, trusted, and effectively adopted. Through empathy‑based research, co‑creation, and targeted enablement, you’ll shape how employees experience change and build confidence in cloud‑ and AI‑enabled workflows. You will also define adoption success metrics and provide clear feedback to program leadership on what is and isn’t working.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) or Public Trust clearance is required.
- Prosci Certified Change Manager or equivalent is required.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Certifications are preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in Change Management or Organizational Development, including at least 3 years supporting Salesforce‑specific transformations.
- Proven experience applying Human‑Centered Design (HCD) principles to technology or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong facilitation and executive communication skills, with demonstrated success in federal or highly regulated environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct empathy‑based discovery through user research, persona development, and journey mapping to understand how IRS employees interact with legacy systems and new Salesforce capabilities.
- Perform change impact analyses to identify organizational friction points and design targeted interventions to mitigate resistance.
- Develop strategic communication plans that translate Salesforce and AI milestones into clear, mission‑driven narratives for IRS leadership and frontline staff.
- Facilitate Human‑Centered Design workshops, co‑creation sessions, and focus groups to ensure solutions reflect real IRS user needs.
- Design and deliver adoption and enablement programs including Trailhead content, office hours, and champion networks that build lasting platform fluency.
- Define and track human‑centric success metrics such as user sentiment, time‑to‑proficiency, and engagement, reporting insights to the IRS Program Management Office (PMO).
