Roles & Responsibilities

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in sales development, pipeline generation, and outbound prospecting.
  • Proven B2B outbound sales and appointment-setting with a track record of meeting or exceeding activity goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate business pain and build compelling value for prospects.
  • Experience with SaaS pipeline development and modern sales engagement methodologies; entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements:

  • Generate new business opportunities and contribute to pipeline growth by meeting or exceeding daily activity targets, including inbound qualification, outbound prospecting, and lead nurturing.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to Fortune companies via email, cold-calling, campaigns, and social selling; schedule meetings and demonstrate value through relationship building.
  • Map prospects to identify buyers, decision-makers, and key influencers; work with Marketing to refine targeting and messaging; assist in extending reach into target accounts.
  • Utilize CRM and sales tech to manage the pipeline, track prospects, and coordinate fulfillment; assist in the consultative sales process by learning prospects' needs and sharing insights with the sales team.

Job description

Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious Business Development Representative to join our remote team. The position will identify, engage, and convert prospects for new conversations with the sales organization. The BDR is often the first point of contact for the sales team and an important first impression. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a startup tech environment. 

Please note: This is a remote, Mexico-based 40 hr/week contract position that requires working hours from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as an integral part of the sales process, generating new business opportunities and contributing to pipeline growth
  • Meet or exceed daily activity targets, including inbound qualification, outbound prospecting, and ongoing lead nurturing/engagement
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to Fortune companies via e-mail, cold-calling, marketing campaigns, and social selling, both warm and cold calls, scheduling meetings, and establishing value to clients through relationship building.
  • You will be required to seek out and gather details of client needs and coordinate fulfillment activities.
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns (in partnership with Marketing) to build a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Utilize CRM, marketing automation, and sales technology tools to manage pipeline and maintain accurate information about prospects and target accounts
  • Effectively map new prospect organizations to identify the targeted buyers, decision-makers, and key influencers within prospects’ organizations. 
  • Uncover prospect’s business challenges and identify relevant opportunities within target accounts
  • Work with Marketing to better refine targeting and messaging according to segment, contact type, active campaigns, etc.
  • Assist the sales team with opportunities to extend reach into target accounts
  • Assist in the consultative sales process by learning as much as you can about a prospect, uncovering their business needs, and sharing that information with the sales team.
  • Relentlessly learn, adapt, and improve your knowledge of sales engagement and Visit.org’s offering

Requirements

  • You have 3 to 5+ years of experience in sales development, pipeline generation, and outbound prospecting roles
  • 1 year in sales or account management role is a plus 
  • Proven B2B outbound sales and appointment-setting
  • A demonstrated ability to meet or exceed activity goals for calls, e-mails, etc.
  • Sound ability to effectively articulate business pain and create compelling stories to generate interest with prospects
  • Extreme comfort with outbound sales calls and prospecting
  • Knowledge of modern, SaaS pipeline development, sales process, and engagement methodologies
  • Willingness and passion for trying new things, acting entrepreneurial, and iterating on all current and future approaches
  • Must be a competitive, ambitious, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment 
  • Passion for our mission and the desire to make an impact in the world through technology
