Responsibilities

  • Analyze and continuously assess global capacities, bottlenecks, and utilization across all manufacturing sites; determine global workload distribution and prioritization in collaboration with Purchasing.
  • Act as manufacturing partner to Project Management in Offer-to-Order (OtO) to ensure realistic delivery dates and provide decision-ready scenarios for management and escalation meetings.
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve global scheduling standards and SOPs; drive forecast quality and schedule reliability.
  • Monitor local capacities, constraints and risks; implement global workload directives locally, identify risks early and initiate countermeasures; act as central escalation point for conflicts between sites.

Global Master Scheduler (m/f/d) - Manufacturing Network

As Global Master Scheduler, you assume overall responsibility for global workload and capacity management within the Voith Hydro manufacturing network. You ensure realistic delivery commitments and transparent prioritization throughout the entire process from Offer-to-Order (OtO) to Order-to-Cash (OtC), and serve as the central escalation point in case of conflicts between manufacturing sites.

 

Your tasks

  • Analyze and continuously assess global capacities, bottlenecks, and utilization across all manufacturing sites.
  • Make binding decisions on global workload distribution (make-where) and prioritization rules in collaboration with Purchasing (make or buy).
  • Act as manufacturing partner to Project Management in OtO to ensure realistic delivery dates.
  • Provide decision-ready scenarios and transparency for management and escalation meetings.
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve global scheduling standards and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).
  • Drive ongoing improvement of forecast quality and schedule reliability.
  • Monitor and report local capacities, constraints, and risks, including feasibility assessments for OtO requests.
  • Implement global workload and prioritization directives locally and partner with Project Management in OtC.
  • Identify risks early and initiate appropriate countermeasures.
  • Functional reporting line to the Global Head of Manufacturing and close collaboration with key interfaces (Project Management, Scheduling Leaders, Manufacturing Leaders, Supply Chain, Engineering).
  • Acts as global owner of manufacturing load and capacity balancing across the network. 

 

Your profile

  • Completed university degree in industrial engineering, production, operations, or a comparable field.
  • Extensive experience in master scheduling within project-oriented manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical skills, confident stakeholder management, and a high level of escalation competence.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to work internationally and travel as required (30%).

 

This position can be filled at any of our global Voith Hydro locations. The remote work policies will adhere to the regulations of the specific location where you are based - this is not a fully remote position.
