As a Project Sales Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping Eaton’s success across the UK commercial buildings market. This is a highly visible, autonomous role where you’ll combine technical insight, relationship-building, and commercial drive to create real impact.
You will focus on Low Voltage solutions (e.g. transformers, switchboards, final distribution equipment) in the commercial buildings arena, whilst contributing to the growth of Eaton's Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure business. You will work closely with the peers in Ireland and UK for other business lines, business units, marketing teams and the commercial back office acquiring share through integrated business development activities.
Scope of target customers: predominantly electrical contractors but also building services consultants & Panel builder partners.
What you’ll do:
- Build and deliver a strong, sustainable, and profitable sales pipeline aligned with Eaton’s quarterly and annual targets
- Engage customers through a dynamic mix of face‑to‑face and digital selling, ensuring high-quality interactions that drive results
- Take ownership of sales efficiency by actively embracing digital tools, CRM insights, and analytics
- Lead pull‑through activity with key electrical contractors building services consultants and specifiers
- Strengthen and expand our panel builder partner ecosystem, boosting demand generation and regional coverage
- Support the energy transition by identifying and developing opportunities for EV charging and energy storage solutions
- Collaborate closely with UK & Ireland business units and marketing teams to deliver strategic commercial building projects
- Keep a sharp eye on the market: understand customer challenges, competitive trends, and contribute to new offering launches
- Use CRM and sales analytics to track activity, manage pipeline health, and improve conversion rates
- Champion Eaton’s values by upholding the highest standards of ethics, safety, and integrity in everything you do
Qualifications:
- Business degree or further/college education
- Experience in a B2B sales environment, ideally within construction, electrical, or technology sectors
- Exposure to working with contractors, consultants, or specifiers
Skills:
- Strong sales planning and execution capabilities
- Confident user of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and analytics tools such as Power BI
- Understanding of the UK construction sector, commercial building electrical infrastructure, and power distribution solutions
- Ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
- Customer-focused mindset with a consistent track record of achieving results
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote role
