A prominent UK-based healthcare and protection consultancy is seeking a diligent and results-driven Employee Benefits Retention Advisor for 15 - 20 hours a week. This role is fundamental to maintaining the firm’s high standards of client loyalty and ensuring that businesses receive compliant, high-quality advice during their policy renewals.
The successful candidate will manage an active caseload of employee benefit renewals, acting as a brand ambassador to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position is ideal for a commercially aware professional who thrives in a target-driven environment and possesses a deep understanding of the health and protection insurance market. You will focus on high-quality service delivery, ensuring that every client interaction reinforces the firm’s reputation for excellence and integrity.
Retention & Revenue Performance: Manage a personal caseload of Employee Benefits renewals, consistently meeting monthly targets for retention volume and policy persistence.
Advisory Excellence: Conduct thorough market reviews to provide compliant, high-quality advice, ensuring the most suitable outcomes for clients at every renewal.
Lead Generation: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and generate high-quality leads for the Life & Protection specialist teams.
Customer Experience: Maintain a "same-day" acknowledgement standard for all queries, ensuring all follow-up actions are completed within strict 24–48 hour SLAs.
Compliance & Risk Management: Adhere strictly to FCA regulations and internal policies, ensuring that comprehensive documentation for advice suitability is maintained for every client.
Market Intelligence: Stay current with insurer product updates, pricing shifts, and regulatory changes to provide accurate and up-to-date information to policyholders.
Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong working relationships with insurers and key partners to facilitate smooth renewal processes.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify ways to enhance the customer journey, streamline renewal processes, and improve overall productivity.
Proven Experience: A strong background in insurance renewals or retentions, specifically within the Employee Benefits or Healthcare sector.
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the UK health and protection insurance market and insurer products.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to manage diverse client portfolios.
Target-Driven Mindset: A track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs related to retention rates, quality, and compliance.
Regulatory Awareness: A sound understanding of FCA rules and the principles of "Treating Customers Fairly" (TCF).
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation and the maintenance of advice suitability records.
Industry-recognised certifications (e.g., IF7 or equivalent CII credits).
Experience using insurance-specific CRM or policy management systems.
