Role Overview 

Shutterfly is looking for a strategic Principal Software, SaaS, and Cloud Sourcing Specialist who will drive high-impact strategies enterprise-wide for stakeholders in Technology, Product, and Marketing — delivering measurable enterprise value by leading contract negotiations and driving stakeholder consensus.
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, a successful candidate will have: experience in best-practice procurement methods and business processes; deep data-driven analytical skills; and demonstrated success at building consensus, navigating in ambiguity, and developing deep relationships across disparate stakeholder groups.
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Own category strategy and contract negotiations across several categories of spend: Software, SaaS, Cloud/Hyperscalers, Hardware, and Peripherals.
  • Design data-driven sourcing strategies that effectively address stakeholder objectives while balancing cost, speed, quality, and innovation.
  • Lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management (end to end) to ensure best-in-class procurement practices.
  • Negotiate complex, global agreements focused on total value, negotiated savings (budgetary and avoidance), and market-reasonable terms.
  • Use analytics and automation to enhance visibility and decision speed.
  • Prepare RFQs, RFPs, bid documents, analyze and evaluate proposals, and administer the evaluation process.
  • Continuously expand your expertise and of the vendor ecosystem by maintaining in-depth knowledge of vendors and technologies in related categories.
  • Align sourcing strategies to enterprise goals for growth and margin.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues impacting internal stakeholders.
  • Define and implement process improvements that increase employee experiences, reduce cycle time and deliver efficiency gains and outsized impact, while ensuring compliance with policies and mitigating supplier risk.
  • Manage and optimize strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and accountability.
  • Provide thought leadership from a procurement/sourcing perspective and work with business partners to develop new and creative strategies.
  • Other duties as necessary and assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  
  • 8+ years of progressive strategic sourcing or commercial leadership experience leading Software, SaaS, Cloud/Hyperscalers, Hardware, and Peripherals spend categories.
  • Strong negotiation experience (Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Change Orders, etc.) and demonstrated ability to work with suppliers.
  • Success in large-scale enterprise initiatives and demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing at a global scale and within a fast paced, and dynamic organization is required.
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate with business partners and teams in defining and implementing category strategies at scale.
  • Strong financial acumen and complex negotiation experience.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder influencing skills.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.

California : [$115,000-$162,750]

Connecticut and New York: [$115,000-$149,000]

Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$115,000-$138,000]

Nevada: [$108,000-$149,000]

Maryland and New Jersey: [$124,250-$149,000]

Hawaii : [$108,000 – $129,750]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
