ABOUT THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, the Director, Strategic Partnerships will drive growth by identifying new opportunities and building and nurturing new referent accounts. The Director will conduct market research, assess the provider landscape, and educate to build market awareness of CATC services, to identify unmet needs and new referent relationships. The Director will identify new partnership opportunities (e.g. networking, cold calls, etc.), build relationships, and negotiate new service agreements.
The Director, Strategic Partnerships requires strong relationship‑building skills, a deep understanding of healthcare operations and trends, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies that drive organizational growth.
The successful candidate must have a strong bias for action to deliver measurable results, along with a demonstrated ability to collaborate internally and externally in a team environment.
This individual will work from home and be required to travel regularly to the National Support Centre in Markham and to other locations as needed.
YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Growth & Strategy
Identify new markets, analyze trends, research competitors, and develop strategic plans for expansion.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new partnership opportunities within hospitals, physician groups, health systems, payers, and other healthcare organizations.
Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitive activities, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting healthcare.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve growth targets and expand CATC’s partnership portfolio, leveraging our unparalleled continuum of care in addiction treatment.
Prepare and deliver high‑quality proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical leaders, administrators, purchasing teams, and strategic partners.
Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings.
Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective clients throughout the development cycle.
Effectively educate CATC’s unique value proposition and the impact of the services provided.
Opportunity Conversion & Pipeline Management
Manage the full business development lifecycle from lead generation to contract negotiation.
Maintain an active pipeline using Salesforce tools; track progress, forecast financial impact, and report on key performance metrics.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance, clinical teams) to create tailored solutions that meet partner needs.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with leadership to refine service offerings and market approaches.
Partner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and thought leadership content.
Provide insights to product or service development teams based on client needs and market feedback.
Reporting & Analysis
Track progress, analyze data, and provide reports on business development progress against targets.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
3–5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within healthcare.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, such as value-based care, provider networks, reimbursement models, and healthcare technology.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build trust and credibility with executives and clinical leaders.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
Success Metrics
Revenue growth and new contract acquisition.
Expansion of relationships within key healthcare markets.
Sales pipeline health and conversion rates.
Contribution to strategic initiatives and market expansion efforts.
Work Environment & Travel
This individual will work from home.
Regular travel required (approximately 20–40%) for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and business development opportunities.
