Job description

Spreetail propels brands to increase their ecommerce market share across the globe while improving their operational costs. Learn how we are building one of the fastest-growing ecommerce companies in history: www.spreetail.com.

Work Your Way:
At Spreetail, we believe in empowering our employees to work in the way that suits them best through our Work Your Way approach. Each team member has the flexibility to choose where they work most effectively each week—whether that's from home, a coffee shop, or the office. While flexibility is key, we also value the power of in-person connection. That’s why we bring our corporate team together in Lincoln each quarter for a week of intentional collaboration, team building, community engagement, and our All-Hands meeting. It’s the best of both worlds: the freedom to work your way, with meaningful opportunities to connect and grow together. Please scroll to the bottom of the job posting to confirm that your state qualifies for the Work Your Way program.

Spreetail is looking for a driven and strategic leader to own our product review and ratings health across all channel listings, playing a critical role in building customer confidence and accelerating conversion. In this role, you will define and execute channel-specific review strategies, lead cross-functional initiatives to eliminate the root causes of negative reviews, and own all reporting and analytics to craft a compelling story around the measurable business impact of review programs — from incremental GMV growth to listing conversion improvements. As the leader of the Review Programs team, you will foster a high-performing, engaged culture while guiding the vision for review operations to drive effectiveness and efficiency across the business.

How you will achieve success:
  • Serve as the primary owner of product review and ratings health across all channel listings, driving customer confidence and conversion by optimizing existing review programs and implementing new initiatives that increase positive and decrease negative reviews.
  • Define and execute channel-specific review strategies while acting as a forcing function across internal stakeholders and brand partners to eliminate root cause issues leading to poor reviews.
  • Partner cross-functionally to build a company-wide culture that understands the importance of reviews, and own all reporting and analytics to communicate a compelling story around reviews performance and business impact — including incremental GMV, listing conversion, and traffic.
  • Guide the vision for review operations, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of task workflows and driving labor efficiency across the team.
  • Lead the Review Programs team, fostering a high-performing, engaged culture and creating an environment where team members are motivated to deliver meaningful results for the business and its brand partners.

  • What experiences will help you in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of e-commerce experience leading and developing teams to improve product reviews and ratings performance.
  • Familiarity with common e-commerce review sampling programs such as Amazon Vine, BazaarVoice, PowerReviews, and Yotpo, with a strong understanding of their offerings, pros, and cons.
  • Executive presence with demonstrated ability to manage upward communication and lead high-impact projects that drive millions of dollars in opportunity or savings, while balancing multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with experience establishing vision, setting clear goals, and aligning teams, paired with advanced proficiency in Excel for business case modeling, forecasting, and simplifying complex data sets.
  • Experience using SQL to retrieve data and utilizing business intelligence tools such as Power BI is preferred but not required.
  • In an effort to Make Spreetail Better, we hire people that are aligned with our values and are passionate about pursuing ecommerce excellence. We believe the right person can learn what is needed to succeed in their role, so we encourage job applicants to apply even if you don't meet all the qualifications listed. We are looking for diverse backgrounds and perspectives, so we don’t require college degrees and welcome non-linear career paths. If this role highlights your experience and gets you excited – please apply!

What you can expect from us:
We provide the flexibility to take care of yourself. Spreetail operates in a work culture that promotes results and encourages taking time off when needed. In addition to a generous vacation policy, we also offer paid time-off for your wedding week, paid parental leave and support for parents of growing families.
    • We celebrate accomplishments. Each year at Spreetail is a milestone with the opportunity to receive special gifts, swag store credit, or donations to a nonprofit of your choice. We also recognize people pursuing impacts with Spreetail Spotlight Awards.
    • We care about your Health & Wellness. Spreetail works hard to enhance the employee experience through benefit programs and perks that provide meaningful support. We offer affordable medical, dental and vision plans with coast-to-coast coverage. We also provide free telehealth and on-demand mental health resources.
    • We create the opportunity to revolutionize your community. We encourage Spreetailers to give back and make a social impact, and we offer paid time off to do it.
