Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Title: IT Recruiter (India-based, Focus: Japan Geo)

Job Summary:

We are building a 15-member team of motivated and experienced IT Recruiter based in India to support our recruitment efforts for the Japan geo. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IT industry in Japan and the ability to source, screen, and engage top talent for various technical roles within Japan. This role requires excellent communication skills, cultural awareness about Japan and understanding of business etiquette in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and identify qualified IT candidates for Japan market through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct outreach.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Partner with internal Account Managers at Nexus (or in some cases directly with the HR and/or Hiring Managers at client companies) to understand their recruitment needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Manage the candidate pipeline, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Stay updated on IT industry trends and the competitive landscape in the Japan market.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of IT professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal recruitment policies and procedures.




Requirements

Skills:

  • Proven experience in IT recruitment/staffing in Japan is a must.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Strong understanding of various IT technologies and roles.
  • Excellent sourcing and interviewing techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently during the search process and as part of a team during the coordination/negotiation process.
  • Familiarity with Japanese business culture and Japanese communication styles.
  • Ability to speak in Japanese language would be an added advantage.
