Job Description:
The Position
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join a well-established, global software company focused on identity and access management, with a strong foundation and significant opportunity for accelerated growth. As the General Manager of the business unit, you will serve as the full P&L owner, responsible for driving performance across all core functions, including Product & Engineering (R&D), Professional Services, Customer Success & Support, Sales & Marketing, and General Administration. Importantly, you will also be the champion for AI, driving both cultural and technology adoption across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in identity, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS, along with strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, humility, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership. This leader will be responsible for building alignment, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of performance across the organization. Prior experience in corporate or portfolio-based environments is preferred, along with a proven track record of leading teams, executing growth strategies, and delivering measurable results through both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
This role requires a strong understanding of go-to-market strategy in a recurring revenue SaaS model, with the ability to balance near-term execution and long-term value creation. Experience navigating enterprise sales cycles, customer identity platforms, and data privacy or compliance-driven environments is highly valued.
The General Manager will report to the Group Leader and will be accountable for achieving financial targets, driving sustainable growth, and strengthening the company’s position in the market through disciplined execution and customer-centric innovation.
This is a remote position based in the Western United States or Canada.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Planning
- Lead Strategic Planning:
- Own the strategic plan for the business each year, setting direction for senior leaders in terms of company vision, mission and critical success factors tied to successful strategy execution.
- Ensure that the BU has long-range, annual, and quarterly financial and non-financial goals, including succession plans and succession risk management for all Functional Department Leaders.
- Prepare and present annual strategic plan to Volaris management team, including the tactical plan by functional area.
- Operations Planning: preparation of quarterly forecasts and long-range P&L projections to be reviewed at Quarterly Strategic Review (“QSR”) meetings.
- Product Planning: preparation of annual and quarterly adjusted product roadmaps and initiative plans tied to growth strategy.
- Talent Management: ensure cascading scorecard objectives are in place for all Functional Department Leaders and below within the BU. Ensure development plans are in place for all hi-potentials, to build organizational capacity to sustain growth and scalability.
Business & Financial Reporting
- Business Metrics & Tracking: Ensure the BU tracks and publishes financial and non-financial metrics that assist with decision-making and problems solving across all functional groups and initiatives. Organize and present Quarterly Operations Reviews.
- Numeracy: you will ensure:
- Core KPI’s for the business are being achieved for all Functional Departments, including the consolidated performance results.
- The BU recurring revenue renewals are received on time, without shrinkage by customer or value, and carry out recurring revenue price Increase implementation methods as required.
- Ensure all invoicing and collections are in line with contractual and scope requirements.
- Ensure continuous Working Capital improvement.
- Organize and present Quarterly Business Reviews (“QBR’s”).
Operations Management
- Business Metrics & Tracking: Ensure the BU tracks and publishes financial and non-financial metrics that assist with decision-making and problem solving across all functional groups and initiatives. Organize and present Quarterly Operations Reviews with the senior leadership team.
- People Management: Oversee all functional managers and drive the organization to achieve and exceed financial and non-financial quarterly strategy and Scorecard objectives. Monitor performance of management team, coach and develop team, and upgrade where necessary.
- Growth Management: Oversee the establishment and execution of the sales & marketing strategy and growth initiatives.
- Customers: Executive sponsorship of key partners and key customers. Participate in the strategic development of all customers, shore up revenue and drive change requests and other product advancements.
- Issue-Resolution: Hands-on participation in resolving day-to-day escalations including those related to sales performance, sales opportunity management, sales forecasting, R&D capacity management, services resourcing, global coverage, customer support, and customer project delivery
- Risk Management: Identify risk and put in place remediation and mitigation plans.
- AI Adoption: Working with your team, drive AI cultural and technology adoption across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of people management experience in a software or technology-based company
- 8+ years P&L leadership and hands-on management of functions that included a combination of operations, software development, sales and marketing.
- Experience with account management and new sales business development
- Experience building and executing a go to market strategy that includes inbound and outbound marketing initiatives and verticalization
- Strong analytical skills, in parallel with a strategic yet action-oriented mindset
- High-energy and sense of urgency
- High levels of curiosity; ability to investigate and learn quickly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- International/global responsibility experience
