Pharmacy Technician

Summary:

• Work Mode: 100% Remote (PST highly preferred, if candidate is not PST, they must work the PST hours)
• Duration: 7 months Contract only (Unless a position opens up within department, then can extend or convert to perm)
• Shift: Training – 8am-5pm PST Mon-Fri, no OT - 1 week shadowing 1on1 – No time off during training
• Working Shift after training: 8am-5pm PST Mon-Fri, no OT
• Start Date: Start by 5/18 – ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Work on Pharmacy gap reports such as single fillers, medication adherence, and extended day conversions.
• Conduct member outreach and pharmacy and provider outreach when needed.
• Drive goals by monthly rates to ensure members are adherent and work to close gaps via member outreach.
• Engage in heavy member outreach (around 40-60 calls a day) to educate members about their medications and address concerns.
• Work in multiple systems simultaneously including applications like Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Requirements:

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of retail, hospital, or mail order pharmacy experience.
• Current State’s Pharmacy Technician License (not the work state).
• 1 year of pharmacy experience, member outreach, medication adherence, and extended day conversions.

Preferred Skills:

• National Certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) preferred.
• HEDIS pharmacy experience and telephonic outreach.
• Top 3 must-have hard skills:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to pivot and successfully stay on task.
  • Goal-oriented and focused, independent worker, tech-savvy, capable of working in multiple systems at once.
