We are looking for a new Senior Linux Developer (m/f/d) to work remote and in our Lab in Karlsruhe as soon as possible.
 

Your mission

• You develop features and requirements together with our stakeholders.

• You design and implement new features and architectural improvements.

• You will contribute to effort estimations and project planning.

• You will work closely with our QA to ensure a well-tested product and high-quality standards.

• In collaboration with our support team, you will track down customer issues, analyze them and implement fixes.

• You will make suggestions for internal team improvements.

• You will provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior colleagues.

Your profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field, and have several years of professional experience in system-related development.

• You are confident working with Git in a collaborative development environment.

• You have several years of experience working with Linux systems, ideally on Debian- or Ubuntu-based distributions.

• Extensive hands-on experience adapting and troubleshooting Linux systems to ensure reliable operation of diverse hardware peripherals is a strong plus.

• Experience with embedded Linux environments is an advantage.

• You have strong experience with C++ and common build systems such as CMake.

• You have working knowledge of common scripting languages such as Python and Bash.

• Ideally, you already have experience interacting with open source projects and communities.

• You have very good English skills, both written and spoken.

• German skills are an advantage.
