This is a remote position, but candidate must reside within the client footprint and within 50 miles of an client facility. Examples: (Roanoke, Columbus, Tulsa, Corpus Christi, Ft. Wayne, Shreveport)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Talent Acquisition Specialist Sr is responsible for full life cycle recruiting for field/craft non-exempt (non-DOT and DOT) roles such as line workers, electricians, plant operators and maintenance technicians: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). With this role's greater level of experience, the Talent Acquisition Specialist Sr can manage technical and non-technical positions and management positions and other related responsibilities as assigned. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. This role can also serve as a useful resource toother less seasoned Talent Acquisition employees.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Partners with hiring manager and HR Business Partner to determine staffing needs. Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
Partners with Sourcing Specialist in order to bring a full slate of qualified candidates to the hiring manager. Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process. Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements). Responsible to ensure onboarding and new hire orientation processes occur.
Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance. Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) which is Workday.
Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
Suggest and help implement on-going process improvements to ensure an effective, efficient and compliant recruiting process.
WHAT’S NEEDED
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years of corporate (non-agency) talent acquisition experience, with demonstrated success recruiting and placing candidates in field and craft non-exempt roles, including both non-DOT and DOT positions. Experience recruiting for union roles is strongly preferred. At least three years of experience working with electronic applicant tracking systems is required, with strong preference given to candidates with Workday experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license.
