Part-time Virtual Assistant & Customer Support Specialist

Job description

This is a remote position.

Operating at the heart of a premium UK-based brand, this role is essential for maintaining the high-standard service delivery expected in the upmarket home and garden furniture sector, 3 to 4 hours per day. As the primary interface for the organisation, you will ensure seamless communication and operational flow during peak seasonal demand, supporting an entrepreneurial Founder in a high-output environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication Management: Triage and manage a high volume of primary inbox correspondence, identifying urgent priorities to ensure stakeholders receive professional and timely responses.

  • Customer Experience Excellence: Act as the lead point of contact for enquiries regarding bespoke product details, order tracking, and after-sales care, upholding the brand's reputation for quality.

  • E-commerce Operations: Utilise CRM and inventory platforms to monitor order progression, maintain accurate client records, and manage logistical data entry.

  • Executive Administrative Support: Provide direct assistance to the Founder, including complex scheduling and the meticulous organisation of seasonal operational tasks.

  • Workflow Optimisation: Partner with the Founder to integrate AI tools and automated workflows, focusing on streamlining repetitive tasks and enhancing overall response efficiency.



Requirements

  • Location: Must be South African-based with a dedicated, professional remote workspace.

  • Experience: Proven track record in Virtual Assistance and e-commerce customer support, specifically within a retail or premium goods environment.

  • Communication: Exceptional command of UK English (written), with the ability to adopt a sophisticated and helpful brand voice.

  • Operational Reliability: A stable high-speed internet connection and a robust contingency plan for power outages are non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting UK-based entrepreneurs or SMEs.

  • Demonstrated interest in AI-driven productivity tools.

Required Software Skills

  • E-commerce/Inventory Management software.

  • CRM systems.

  • Standard Office Productivity Suites (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace).
