Administrative Assistant

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant​ - Remote for a part-time contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in New York, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Pay range: $17.76 - $21.76 per hour

This role is responsible for performing and delivering completed translations between English and Japanese for Head Office reporting purposes. The specialist will also proofread, edit materials from machine translation tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high linguistic quality and adherence to reporting standards. This is a part-time role, requiring three (3) days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Translate documents, reports, and communications from English to Japanese and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in the final output
• Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain high linguistic quality and adherence to Head Office reporting standards
• Edit output from machine translation tools, providing constructive feedback for improved machine translation tuning and reporting
• Incorporate changes and revisions based on stakeholder feedback for various reporting projects
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information handled during translation processes
• Collaborate effectively with staff sent from head office (locally based in US) and other stakeholders to ensure translation requirements are met

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard office equipment
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working within a cross-cultural team and interacting with stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Japanese, with demonstrated experience in translation and editing
• At least 3-5 years of experience in translation services
