Role Description
Position Summary
- Lead execution of the localization product roadmap for Global Diagnostics and related product content, delivering faster multilingual release velocity, reduced friction for partner teams, and controlling localization cost.
- Translate market and stakeholder feedback into scalable “mini-programs” (process, tooling, and playbooks) that improve the end‑to‑end global user experience and accelerate expansion into new markets. Contribute to increasing Zoetis Diagnostics Localization and Globalization maturity, through improvements to processes, smart use of technology, stakeholder education, and focus on business needs.
- Own day‑to‑day vendor coordination and enablement, driving quality and reducing rework across content types (product, marketing, medical, training)
- Foster strong, proactive collaboration with content owners, Customer Marketing, and priority markets to align on language strategy, resolve dependencies, and ensure globally ready releases.
- Coach junior team members.
- Learning mindset: Stay up to date with developments and technology trends in the localization and globalization industry and beyond (i.e genAI), conduct experiments, share and apply learnings.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Execution of Localization Roadmap:
- Deliver timely, high‑quality multilingual releases for Global Diagnostics and related content across priority markets.
- Translate strategy into executable plans; manage scope, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Orchestrate cross‑functional work to maintain or increase release velocity as per business needs, and reduce friction for partner teams.
- Convert insights into repeatable “mini‑programs” (processes, playbooks, templates) that scale.
- Plan and execute support for new languages,
- Organizing linguistic and market reviews as needed, and ensuring linguistic assets (translation memories, glossaries, style guides) remain up to date with any relevant changes.
Stakeholder & Market Alignment
- Align product and content owners, dev partners, Customer Marketing, and market stakeholders on language strategy and market launch plans.
- Clarify requirements, roles, and decisions; surface trade‑offs and secure agreement on process and timelines.
- Gather and synthesize market/customer feedback to improve global user experience and inform prioritization.
- Communicate status, risks, and outcomes with crisp, audience‑appropriate updates.
Vendor & Operations Management:
- Coordinate day‑to‑day vendor execution, handoffs, and SLAs across content types. Own vendor enablement and improvement initiatives.
- Optimize schedules, budgets, and resources to control cost while protecting quality and speed.
- Manage TMS workflows and templates, own automation initiatives.
- Reduce waste and rework by preventing defects upstream and tightening review/approval loops
Quality, Governance & Continuous Improvement:
- Meaningfully contribute to increasing the maturity of our Globalization program
- Develop and evolve localization best practices, KPIs, QA mechanisms, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate improvements to our linguistic assets, and engage key stakeholders to capture our SMEs knowledge in them.
- Establish and manage user and colleague feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement and improved customer experience.
- Run experiments (including AI‑assisted approaches) with measurable goals for cycle time and quality.
- Coach junior team members and champion a learning mindset across Diagnostics localization.

Organizationally, this role sits within the Product team. We empower our product teams to create value and solve hard problems in ways that our customers love yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross-functional and durable, generally comprised of the Product Manager leading and partnering with key functions at Zoetis including Global Commercial (Marketing, Support, and Sales) & Medical, VMRD (Zoetis Research & Development), ZTD (Zoetis Tech & Digital), and GMS (Zoetis Global Manufacturing and Supply) teams along with partner OEM development (if applicable). These same principles apply to the Globalization team.
As a horizontal function, we also serve colleagues outside Product, and collaborate with their stakeholders and external partners.

Accountable for ensuring cost-effectiveness of localization projects assigned (limiting the risk of rework and related additional costs, and leveraging technology and process to reduce costs where possible)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience:
- 5+ years in translation and localization management
- Practical experience managing TMS tools such as XTM, Phrase, etc in an admin capacity (configuring workflows, templates, and automations)
- Experience managing Language Quality, Terminology and Translation Memories.
- Knowledgeable about internationalization requirements and software/website localization testing. Experience guiding development teams on the adoption of internationalization best practices is a bonus.
- Experience with different file formats and content types, including software, web, apps, eLearning, etc.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, software development agile approaches, and project management tools
- Proven ability to engage and influence cross-functionally.
Education:
- BA/BS degree, ideally with a focus on Language Studies, Translation, or Localization Management.
- Project management certification such as PMP or Prince preferred, but not required.
