Job Role: Virtual Assistant

Compensation range: $1,100 - $1,500 AUD/month

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: Are you social impact motivated and eager to use your skills to support projects that change lives and communities? We’re seeking a reliable and proactive Virtual Assistant to join our growing Brisbane-based team. You’ll provide a mix of administrative, client management, bookkeeping, and project support, while learning and growing with an organisation dedicated to housing, disability services, and community development initiatives.

This is not a typical admin role — we want someone with transferable skills (administration, coordination, customer service, bookkeeping, or project support) who is eager to commit long-term. As our organisation expands, so will your opportunities for development and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Tenant Liaison – Communicate with clients and tenants promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Tenancy & Participant Management – Assist with lease agreements, tenant/participant communications, and maintaining accurate and well-organised records.
  • Administration & Diary Management – Manage email inboxes, prepare documents, schedule appointments, and coordinate team calendars.
  • Bookkeeping Support – Handle financial tasks such as invoicing, expense tracking, reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Marketing & Communications Support – Assist with basic marketing tasks, content coordination, and supporting brand initiatives as needed.
  • Project Support – Assist in managing projects across housing, disability services (NDIS/SDA), and social enterprise by tracking progress and coordinating tasks.
  • Compliance & Operations – Support operational processes, maintain structured filing systems, and ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Systems & Process Improvement – Help implement and maintain systems that improve efficiency and support business growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in administration, project coordination, and bookkeeping
  • Strong record management capabilities with high attention to detail
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience or exposure to marketing support is highly regarded
  • Comfortable implementing and using systems and tools to support business operations and growth
  • Proficient in digital tools such as Google Workspace, MS Office, and project management or bookkeeping software

  • Interest in social enterprise, community impact, or purpose-driven work is highly valued
  • Openness to understanding holistic approaches, with interest in areas such as energy healing considered a plus

Highly Desirable

  • Interest in social enterprise and contributing to community-focused initiatives
  • Experience in BnB or short-term rental management

This is a remote role that may be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
