Review and interpret engineering plans with accuracy.
Perform and document detailed quantity takeoffs for civil works, building construction, high and low voltage electrical and mechanical installation.
Develop unit costs using industry standards for labour, equipment, and materials.
Estimate construction costs from engineering drawings and specs.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate subcontractor pricing and change requests.
Maintain and contribute to the Client construction cost database.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in construction cost estimating, preferably in electrical substations.
Proficiency with estimating software such as Prost or ProEst.
Strong understanding of industry labour, equipment, and material cost standards.
Skillsets:
Low voltage electrical and mechanical installation.
Use estimates to support construction scheduling.
Education:
Any degree or related field exp
