Role: Lead Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
Industry Focus: Manufacturing (Discrete / Process / Mixed Mode)
Deployment Type: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
Employment Type: Contract (based on engagement)
Location: Remote (preferred), with potential client‐site travel as required
Start Date: DOE (Date of Engagement)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Consultant to lead and deliver end‐to‐end SAP Public Cloud implementations for manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‐on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (GROW with SAP), a deep understanding of manufacturing business processes, and proven ability to lead client facing implementations from Fit‐to‐Standard through Go‐Live.
This role requires strong functional leadership, solution design expertise, and experience guiding customers through SAP public cloud best practices and constrained extensibility.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead end‐to‐end SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations for manufacturing clients.
  • Act as the functional lead / solution architect for public cloud deployments.
  • Drive Fit‐to‐Standard workshops, process alignment, and adoption of SAP Best Practices.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with public cloud standards, scope boundaries, and SAP roadmap.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Processes
  • Lead implementation and configuration for manufacturing processes including:
    • Production Planning
    • Manufacturing Execution integration
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • BOMs, Routings, Work Centers
    • Inventory Management and Procurement
  • Guide clients on public cloud manufacturing limitations vs. extensibility options.
Public Cloud Architecture & Integration
  • Design solutions within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud constraints:
    • Configuration‐based extensibility
    • In‐App extensibility
    • Side‐by‐Side extensions using SAP BTP
  • Coordinate integrations with:
    • SAP Digital Manufacturing
    • SAP IBP
    • SAP Ariba
    • Third‐party manufacturing systems
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integration scenarios using SAP BTP, APIs, and event‐based messaging.
Project & Client Leadership
  • Serve as the primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on scope control, change requests, and release management.
  • Support project planning, milestones, cutover activities, and hypercare.
  • Mentor junior consultants and offshore teams.
Testing, Deployment & Adoption
  • Lead functional validation activities including:
    • Unit Testing
    • Integration Testing
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support data migration activities using SAP Migration Cockpit.
  • Ensure successful Go‐Live and post‐Go‐Live stabilization.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of SAP consulting experience with multiple SAP S/4HANA implementations
  • 3+ years of hands‐on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience
  • At least 2 full lifecycle Public Cloud implementations for manufacturing clients
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing business processes in SAP
  • Proven experience leading Fit‐to‐Standard workshops
  • Solid understanding of GROW with SAP methodology
  • Experience with SAP Public Cloud extensibility and SAP BTP integration concepts
  • Strong client‐facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead solution design and guide customers on best practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Discrete or Process Manufacturing in Public Cloud
  • Exposure to Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) or SAP IBP integration
  • SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud certifications
  • Experience working with global manufacturing rollouts
  • Strong understanding of SAP Public Cloud quarterly release and upgrade cycles
