Job description

Senior Systems Engineer – z/OS

Bethesda, MD | Remote | 12 Months

Seeking a skilled Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in z/OS systems programming to perform various critical tasks and ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Required Experience:

7 years in general z/OS systems programming
5 years in installation, maintenance, configuration, and support of IBM, Broadcom, BMC, Precisely, and other ISV products
3 years in mainframe network configuration and management
3 years in z/OSMF customization and usage

Desired Experience:

Coupling Facility, SYSPLEX, and Structures
CA-7 batch scheduling
BlueZone mainframe emulator configuration and upgrades
Hardware storage management with IBM Virtual Tape (TS7770) and Dell EMC DASD (VMAX/PMAX)
General storage management, including SMS rules, DFHSM, CA-1, data retention policies, and disaster recovery
ACF2 installation, maintenance, configuration, customization, audit, and compliance
Performance monitoring and tuning
Assembler and REXX programming
