Conscious Discipline (CD) is a leading provider of comprehensive, trauma-informed social emotional learning (“SEL”) solutions to schools and districts. Conscious Discipline is an adult-first methodology, meaning it addresses adult self-regulation and skill sets first in order to empower adults to model, teach and live the skills and ideals they want children to acquire. This highly effective approach is shown to improve self-regulation, achievement, relationships, sense of community, empathy and intrinsic motivation in both children and adults.
Conscious Discipline’s methodology is based in scientific and developmental research. CD creates a compassionate culture and facilitates an intentional shift in adults’ understanding of behavior via the CD Brain State Model. It then provides specific brain-friendly, evidence-based and research-backed strategies for responding to each child’s individual needs with wisdom.

A Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor (CDCI) is part of a “best in class” team of experts who practice Conscious Discipline and engage audiences via the instructional delivery of Conscious Discipline content. CDCIs are aligned with the goal of massively scaling the reach of Conscious Discipline.
Part-time CDCIs must be available to deliver contracted training and coaching at a minimum of one day (6 contact hours, plus travel and preparation time) per month or 12 days (72 contact hours, plus travel and preparation time) per year. Conscious Discipline does not guarantee any amount of contracted work to any part-time CDCI. All CDCIs are highly encouraged to help generate leads for contract work by networking in their communities and states and submitting proposals to present Conscious Discipline sessions at conferences.
We are currently accepting applications from experienced practitioners who are implementing Conscious Discipline with fidelity in one or more of the following areas to become Conscious Discipline Certified Instructors (CDCIs).
Applicants must be available to begin providing contracted services on August 1, 2026.
If you do not have experience in one or more of the above areas, or cannot provide contracted services throughout August 2026, please do not apply at this time.

Application Documents:
If you meet the above required qualifications and are interested, please apply as soon as possible. All submitted items will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by a select team of Conscious Discipline specialists. The review process may take up to four weeks. Applicants may be invited for a virtual interview as part of the final selection process. Participation in the application and interview process does not guarantee certification.
If the number of CDCI positions needed are filled by other applicants, you may be held in reserve for consideration as a CDCI if/when additional part-time positions are needed. If certification is not approved, and the review team agrees that you currently do not meet the criteria and requirements for certification, you may reapply after one year, if the position is posted again.
