POSITION SUMMARY:
The University of Wisconsin–River Falls Registrar’s Office supports enrollment management efforts and academic programs across UW–River Falls. This position is responsible for overseeing the operational and functional processes related to student records. The individual will assist in supporting the Student Information System (SIS) and collaborate closely with the Division of Technology Services to deliver effective services to students, faculty, and staff. Working in partnership with the Registrar, this role will provide data related to enrollment, course offerings, and progress toward degree completion to support informed decision-making across campus. The position also assists in determining strategic departmental goals, developing tracking metrics, and supports decisions regarding staffing direction to ensure students receive high-quality academic services. This role may supervise staff and provide professional development opportunities. Additionally, the position will lead efforts in process improvement for both the student success system and business process automation systems, helping to enhance service delivery for students, faculty, and staff.
Manage and implement policies, processes, and activities for the unit, including oversight of student records operations and systems
Serve as the functional lead for the Student Records module of the Student Information System (eSIS), acting as liaison to the Division of Technology Services
Maintain the integrity of student records data through query generation, review, and system audits
Test and implement system upgrades, patches, and new functionality within eSIS, including Activity Guides and academic policy updates
Manage communication generation processes and support academic term setup, registration, discontinuation, waitlisting, and PERC in collaboration with the Associate Registrar
Develop and deliver training and workshops for Registrar’s Office staff and campus partners on system functionality and processes
Serve as a liaison to institutional stakeholders by providing student record, curricular, and degree requirement data, while representing the interests of the unit
Generate and analyze reports on enrollment, curriculum, and student progress using SIS tools, and collaborate with Institutional Research and campus partners to support data-informed decision-making
Assist with required reporting to UW System and the National Student Clearinghouse
Lead and support process improvement initiatives by maintaining and developing workflows in Business Process Automation tools and identifying opportunities to streamline services and implement best practices
Collaborate with Registrar’s Office leadership to evaluate unit effectiveness and recommend improvements to processes, services, and outcomes
Support data integration and system functionality for the Student Success System in partnership with the Division of Technology Services
Consult on procedural and policy implementation questions in accordance with established guidelines
Serve on Registrar’s Office and institutional committees, as appropriate
Maintain current knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development
Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Required Qualifications:
Earned Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of one year of professional experience related to position responsibilities to deliver student centered services
Understanding of data integration, relational databases, and systems (student information systems; PeopleSoft, Banner, Jenzaber, u.Achieve, etc.)
Ability to work as a team and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in records and registration in a higher education setting
Proficiency with developing queries using SQL
Knowledge of FERPA regulations as related to student records
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
