Summit Human Capital is seeking a 100% Remote Security Engineer to support an enterprise client of ours in securing and optimizing their Microsoft 365 environment. This individual will lead efforts around secure email integrations and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), ensuring sensitive data is protected across endpoints, messaging platforms, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in DLP strategy, security tooling, and enterprise-level cybersecurity practices. Required:
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering within enterprise environments
Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
Expertise with Check Point security platforms (Smart-1 / Security Gateways)
Experience with endpoint security tools and policy management (Check Point Endpoint or similar)
Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 email and messaging ecosystems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Preferred:
Experience with file-sharing platforms such as ShareFile or OneDrive
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or similar compliance/DLP tooling
Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
Understanding of Zero Trust security principles
Responsibilities:
Lead the secure deployment and configuration of email-integrated file sharing tools within Microsoft 365
Design and implement DLP controls across email, endpoints, and network layers to prevent data leakage
Identify and mitigate risks related to file sharing, email attachments, and external communications
Configure and manage network security policies, including access controls, inspection, and logging
Administer endpoint security policies aligned with enterprise DLP objectives
Support multiple Outlook environments, including desktop and web-based clients
Develop security documentation, risk assessments, and validation testing strategies
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Security, Compliance, and Messaging teams to ensure alignment
The base pay range for this position is $70/hr - $78/hr, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
