Job Description

 Our client operates within the food manufacturing and direct distribution sector, with a strong specialization in frozen and ice products. The company’s core business model focuses on delivering these products directly to end consumers across multiple European countries, ensuring a seamless and efficient distribution process.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable solutions: Develop and maintain .NET-based backend applications and microservices with a focus on performance and reliability.
  • Deliver high-quality code: Implement applications following best practices in clean code, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Support modern deployment practices: Work closely with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
  • Leverage event-driven architecture: Use events to build robust, asynchronous systems that support scalability and decoupled services.
  • Optimize data interactions: Design and maintain efficient relational database integrations that ensure data integrity and system responsiveness.
  • Contribute to strong engineering standards: Engage in architectural discussions, perform code reviews, and promote best practices.
  • Mentor and grow the team: Provide guidance to junior/mid developers and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Must have: 

  • 5 years+ hands-on experience with .NET Framework (C# and libraries)
  • Strong understanding of clean code practices and SOLID principles
  • Strong experience with a cloud platform (Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP are also acceptable)
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of solutions, from requirements through production and follow-up
  • Ability to understand business and data context and reason about impact and trade-offs, not just implement technical tasks
  • Comfortable contributing to technical discussions, asking the right questions, and collaborating effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong integration and interface development skills
  • German as a main communication language

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with one or more of the following: AVD, File Services, Data File Transfer, ComPC, BizTalk, Gupta
  • Experience working with grown / legacy systems
  • Knowledge of security best practices in backend development
