Forklift Driver

About the role

• Team Global Express is seeking a Forklift Driver to join our team in Karawatha, on Brisbane’s south side

• Full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm

• This role will be based within our Hold Bay, supporting critical depot operations

• Unloading and loading vehicles safely and efficiently

• This role also includes a broad range of responsibilities beyond standard forklift driving and loading/unloading including:

• Picking and preparing runs for the following day

• Ensuring correct movement and timely distribution of freight

• Repacking freight, including managing and securing damaged items

• Conducting dock searches across the entirety of the depot

• Using Tablets and RF scanners to accurately track and manage freight

• Carrying out all duties within set time frames and following instructions closely

• Ensuring compliance with safety requirements and consistently following WHS practices and procedures

• Following company procedures, including hazard, near miss, and incident reporting processes

• Safely restraining loads and using straps correctly where required

What you’ll bring

• Current and valid Forklift Licence (mandatory)

• The Hold Bay operates in a fast-paced environment, therefore strong prioritisation and multitasking skills are highly desired

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously where required

• Full working rights in Australia

• High attention to safety
