About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Pipeline Developer to optimize our jewelry design and e-commerce production workflows. The ideal candidate will be a bridge between artistic vision and technical execution, leveraging their Blender expertise to create efficient, seamless asset pipelines from initial CAD modeling to photorealistic rendering. A key focus will be on automating repetitive tasks to significantly accelerate our production cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Optimization & Development:

• Design, build, and maintain robust Blender-based workflows for jewelry modeling, rendering, and asset management.
• Develop and implement Python scripts and add-ons for automation (e.g., batch rendering, material assignments, file conversions).
• Integrate Blender with essential tools such as RhinoGold, KeyShot, Adobe Suite, and e-commerce platforms.

Technical Artistry & Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain standardized material libraries (metals, gemstones) and lighting setups to ensure consistent photorealistic outputs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize 3D asset performance (polycount, texture resolution) for web and Augmented Reality (AR) applications.

Collaboration & Training:

• Provide training and support to artists and designers on pipeline tools and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with CAD teams to ensure outputs are manufacturing-ready, adhering to correct file formats and scale accuracy.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in 3D pipeline development, with Blender as a core tool.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with the Blender API and scripting for automation.
• In-depth understanding of jewelry-specific workflows, from CAD to rendering, including gemstone settings and metal finishes.
• Experience with render farms and cloud rendering solutions for scalable e-commerce asset production.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and asset management principles.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with AI tools for texture generation or rapid prototyping.
• Knowledge of USDZ/glTF pipelines for AR and 3D e-commerce applications.
• Background in jewelry manufacturing, including an understanding of casting and 3D printing constraints.

• Documentation showcasing workflow optimizations (e.g., quantifiable reductions in render times).
