Job description

Senior Software Engineer – Android

Bethesda, MD (Remote) | 12-Month Contract

Job Summary:

Seeking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Android development. Lead technical workgroups, make key decisions on complex service requests, and create innovative applications. Work with cutting-edge technologies to drive value and ensure project success within time and budget constraints.

Core Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Mentor and train team members.
Provide financial input on budgets and resource estimates.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery processes.

Delivering Technology:

Conduct complex analyses for service delivery processes.
Ensure projects follow development and business case processes.
Coordinate with IT and vendor teams for deployment and support activities.

IT Governance:

Adhere to IT standards and processes, providing input for improvements.
Maintain a balance between business and operational risk.

Service Provider Management:

Validate Service Providers' project plans and metrics.
Facilitate timely resolution of service delivery problems.

Candidate Profile:

Must-Have Qualifications:

6 years of software development experience with expertise in multiple programming languages.
5 years of hands-on Android native application development experience (Kotlin, Java).
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification.
