Roles & Responsibilities

  • 7+ years of Java development with 3+ years of full-stack experience
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and web technologies (Struts, JSP, HTML, JQuery, CSS)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures using Kafka; Oracle DB with Hibernate in Spring
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins), test automation (unit/functional/regression/performance), and Agile methodologies (VersionOne)

Requirements:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack Java applications, web and batch processes
  • Collaborate on mainframe integration, migration planning, and deployment strategies
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated test suites
  • Design and implement scalable microservices architectures using Kubernetes and Kafka

Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Remote, Washington, DC

Duration: 5 months

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years in Java development and 3 years of full stack experience.
  • Experience in JAVA application development, web applications, batch applications, and support.
  • Experience with Oracle DB query development, including Hibernate in Spring Framework.
  • Experience with test automation in unit tests, functional tests, regression tests, and performance tests.
  • Experience with implementing Playwright and CICD with Jenkins.
  • Experience with Version One and Agile development.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Expert in Java, especially J2EE, and Spring Framework.
  • Expert in web page development, including Struts, JSP, HTML, JQuery, CSS, etc.
  • Experienced with Kubernetes, micro-services, and event-driven applications with Kafka.
  • Knowledge of best practices in version controls.
  • Understanding of new technologies to assist with migration.

Required Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially for collaborating on mainframe integration with Java developers and migration planning.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

Education:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field is preferred.
