Job description

Our client is a bespoke Australian construction company specialising in high-end custom residential homes. They are known for delivering premium builds through a collaborative, detail-focused approach, working closely with clients to create tailored, high-quality residences.

They are now seeking to hire an Estimator who provides offshore support to the estimating team, focusing on process-driven estimating tasks, documentation, and data preparation.

 

Job/Role Responsibilities

Estimating Support

  • Review plans and specifications to assist with quantity take-offs.
  • Break projects into trade packages for costing.
  • Compare subcontractor and supplier pricing (based on provided data).
  • Prepare preliminary budgets using templates.
  • Assist in preparing draft tenders and client proposals.

Documentation & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate estimate documentation, including scope, inclusions, and exclusions.
  • Input and manage data within estimating systems and Excel.
  • Ensure all work follows standard processes, templates, and checklists.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with clear instructions.
  • Exposure to construction drawings, plans, or specifications (advantageous).
  • Experience in estimating support, admin, or data processing roles within construction or related industries (preferred).
