Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Develop and generate new business through outside sales and marketing to potential stop loss captive sources for employer clients; serve as primary point of contact for clients and internal teams.
  • Manage and service current Producer accounts daily to ensure operational excellence and superior customer service; build long-term relationships.
  • Conduct sales calls to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships; monitor key performance metrics (quote ratio, close ratio, renewal persistency, loss ratio) and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Travel as needed; develop and implement specific marketing strategies and materials; participate in various projects and duties as assigned.

TMHCC Stop Loss, a $2 Billion division within TMHCC, leads the way in providing medical stop loss insurance sold to employers. Medical Stop Loss provides an added layer of insurance protection to employers who choose to self-fund their health benefit plans. Self-funding can incur risks from catastrophic claims, and Medical Stop Loss insurance from Tokio Marine HCC is designed to protect employers from that risk.

Position Summary:

Under supervision, maintains and services current TMHCC Stop Loss Captive relationships as well as develops new sources of profitable business for HCC Life’s Stop Loss Captive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for new business through outside sales and marketing to all production sources potentially interested in a stop loss captive for their employer clients.
  • Ensures sound working relationships with clients and internally by acting as point of contact.
  • Managing current Producer accounts daily to ensure operational excellence and top of industry customer service.
  • Conduct sales calls to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Develops a strong relationship with Producer by resolving client issues in a timely fashion.
  • Develop and maintain database of current and prospective producers.
  • Monitor producer quote ratio, close ratio, renewal persistency, and loss ratio. Adapt marketing strategy as needed
  • Travel as needed.
  • Develop and implement specific marketing strategies and materials.
  • Various projects and duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education, Experience & Knowledge:

  • 4 year Bachelors degree in in Business Administration, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
  • 2 years of Relevant and progressive professional marketing/sales experience
  • Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

Additional Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • May be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other devices
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus, such as required to read a computer screen
  • Frequent travel (25% of time or more) passport is not required but must have a valid drivers license

The pay range for this position is $74,340 -$90,860  which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate’s geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
