Job description

I’m Avery, Founder & CEO of Bloom, a leadership development and fractional HR partner helping organizations build high-performing, human-centred teams.

About Bloom

We work with companies that want more than surface-level change. Through training, advisory, and ongoing HR support, we help leaders make better decisions, strengthen team culture, and create workplaces where people can perform, contribute, and grow with dignity and respect. Our work is grounded in the Bloom Framework, a practical model for modern leadership that helps organizations build awareness, lead with responsibility, operationalize fairness, own their impact, and mobilize people.

We’ve partnered with more than 200 companies across 50+ countries, including Shopify, Spotify, Knix, SmartSweets, CMHA, and CanadaHelps, helping them rethink leadership, employee experience, and the systems that shape how work works and how people experience it.

Our Approach

The system of work was not built with most of the workforce in mind. At Bloom, we believe meaningful change has to move across the full workplace ecosystem. That means looking at the structures that shape work, from policies and systems to everyday practices, while also building the individual and collective capacity needed to sustain change over time.

Our approach goes beyond structure alone. We help organizations strengthen awareness, deepen understanding, and build the behaviours, ownership, and accountability required to lead and work differently. For us, better workplaces are built when policy is paired with practice, and when people are equipped not just to understand change, but to carry it forward together. This is how we move toward workplaces that are more thoughtful, more effective, and more human.

The Opportunity

Right now, we’re hiring Change Strategist, Evolutionist, and DEI Facilitators to join our collective of educators. This role is about more than delivering workshops. It’s about helping leaders and teams build the awareness, skills, and behaviours needed to work better together. We’re looking for facilitators who can translate complex workplace dynamics into practical, actionable learning that supports real organizational change.

If you’re passionate about leadership, workplace culture, and anti-oppressive practice, we’d love to connect.

The Opportunity
  • Facilitate interactive sessions that build awareness, deepen understanding, and help participants lead and work with more thoughtfulness, responsibility, and care.
  • Use thoughtful facilitation techniques, tools, and activities to create learning experiences that are engaging, reflective, and immediately applicable.
  • Lead virtual and in-person workshops across topics related to leadership, workplace culture, employee experience, and anti-oppressive practice, tailoring delivery to each organization’s context and goals.
  • Help participants understand how behaviour, decision-making, and workplace dynamics are shaped by larger systems, structures, and lived experience.
  • Create respectful environments that support open dialogue, honest reflection, and constructive conversation around complex and sensitive topics.
  • Support leaders and teams in building the awareness, ownership, and practical skills needed to translate learning into everyday practice.
  • Help strengthen individual and collective capacity so teams are better equipped to navigate accountability, collaboration, and change.
  • Stay informed on emerging research and leading practices, and integrate those insights into facilitation approach, content, and materials.
  •
Did you know?  We know many strong candidates, especially women and people from historically marginalized communities, hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification. Research has found that men often apply when they meet about 60% of the criteria, while women tend to apply only when they meet them all. If you do not meet every requirement listed below, we still encourage you to apply.

    What You’ll Bring to Bloom
  • You have a deep, intersectional understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and proven experience facilitating impactful training programs both virtually and in person.
  • You are excited about creating human-centred learning experiences that drive both collective and individual growth.
  • You value building trust and partnerships with interdisciplinary teams, external clients, and stakeholders.
  • You have a high emotional intelligence (EQ) and a facilitation style that is empathetic, compassionate, and resourceful—essential for navigating different personalities, viewpoints, and emotions.
  • You understand anti-oppressive strategies and decolonizing practices for organizations.
  • You have strong communication skills (visual, written, and verbal) and can present complex ideas in a clear, concise, and engaging way.
  • You are adept at using virtual collaboration tools and adapting facilitation methods to suit diverse client needs.
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • You can analyze feedback and refine facilitation methods to continuously improve learning experiences.

  • Planting Seeds
We’re especially excited to hear from facilitators with experience leading sessions on Indigenous relations at work, neurodiversity at work, and AI and ethics in the workplace. As Bloom continues to plant seeds with new programming, we’re looking to expand beyond the areas we already hold in-house and bring in facilitators with strong, demonstrated experience in these topics. Many of these conversations require nuance, care, and a real ability to connect big ideas to day-to-day workplace realities, and we’re looking for people who can do exactly that. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

    Compensation + Location + Hours
  • We’re a fully remote team and encourage people to work where they can do their best work. At the same time, because this role often involves facilitating sessions and meeting with clients, we ask that members of the Bloom collective work from a private, secure, and quiet space when doing Bloom-related work. This is important not only for creating a distraction-free environment, but also for protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients and partners.
  • This role is structured with flexibility in mind, and you will have autonomy in managing your schedule. That said, most of our clients operate Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST, and our training sessions are often scheduled within that window. As such, we’re looking for facilitators who can offer some availability during standard business hours.

  • The Interview Process
Round 1: 30-minute video Zoom call with Niamh (Talent Advisor, Bloom)
Round 2: 30-minute interview with Avery (Founder and Managing, Bloom)
Round 3: 60-minute interview. You’ll be given Bloom’s content for a mini-session and will deliver a mock facilitation to a panel of our team members. There’s no independent work or original IP required, just an opportunity to showcase your facilitation skills. As this is purely a demonstration of delivery with no new content creation, we will not be compensating candidates for this step.

We are accepting applications for this role until May 29, 2026. All candidates who apply will be contacted with next steps in the interview process after the posting closes. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

    Start Date
This is a contract role on a project-by-project basis. If selected to join our collective of facilitators, you’ll be engaged as a contractor for a 1-year term, with opportunities to take on facilitation work as it arises. We already have potential sessions available for contractors as early as May 2026!

    Our Commitment to You

We care deeply about creating a fair, thoughtful, and consistent selection process for all applicants. While we’d love to connect with every candidate individually, we’re not able to accommodate one-on-one conversations before the interview stage. Keeping our process structured helps us reduce bias and assess candidates based on their skills, experience, and alignment with Bloom’s approach and values.

Bloom is committed to equity and inclusion in our hiring. If you are a person with a disability and require accommodation at any stage of the application process, please reach out to niamh@buildwithbloom.com and we will work with you to support your needs. We encourage applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds, especially those from historically marginalized communities.

We believe transparency matters, especially as technology evolves.

At Bloom, we may leverage AI as a supportive tool when developing role descriptions, interview questions, take home assignments, and interview guides, where appropriate, with the goal of improving clarity, consistency, and accessibility for candidates. However, we do not use AI to source, assess, screen, or interview candidates. Every application is reviewed by a human, every interview is conducted by a human, and all hiring decisions are made by people, not automated systems. Human judgment, care, and accountability are central to how we hire.

Ready to grow with us? Apply now.

We know there are many great opportunities out there, and we genuinely appreciate you considering Bloom as part of your journey. As a small business we are humbled and so grateful for your interest and energy. If you want, I can also make the AI statement firmer or more polished depending on how strict you want Bloom to be.
