About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Product Portfolio & Commercialization to lead product strategy, commercialization, enablement, and portfolio performance across our acquiring business. This role sits at the center of our Revenue Growth engine within the Business Optimization team, driving alignment between Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Revenue Operations.
You will be responsible for shaping how our products are defined, brought to market, adopted, and optimized across both internal and third-party solutions. This includes ownership of our full product portfolio and vendor ecosystem, ensuring strong alignment to revenue goals, customer needs, and operational readiness.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and execution-focused operator, capable of driving end-to-end commercialization while building scalable frameworks that improve launch quality, sales effectiveness, and product performance.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
Define and manage the overall product portfolio strategy across acquiring, banking, payables, payroll, and value-added services.
Own product prioritization and alignment to company growth objectives.
Lead product charter development, including revenue targets, KPIs, and success metrics.
Serve as the executive point of accountability for product performance and roadmap alignment.
Product Go-to-Market & Commercialization
Lead the planning and execution of GTM strategies for new product launches, enhancements, and monetization initiatives.
Partner with Product, Sales, and Operations to define value propositions, target segments, pricing inputs, and sales motions.
Develop and maintain commercialization frameworks, GTM launch playbooks, and performance dashboards.
Ensure operational readiness across onboarding, billing, support, and deployment prior to launch.
Positioning, Messaging & Sales Enablement
Own core product positioning and value articulation across the portfolio.
Create internal sales tools, external-facing assets, and enablement content that clearly communicate product value.
Partner with Enablement and Sales leadership to train and equip internal teams and partners for successful product adoption.
Serve as the subject matter owner for product-related messaging, documentation, and knowledge repositories.
Product Performance & Optimization
Own product performance metrics including revenue, ARPU, penetration, and attach rates.
Partner with Data and Revenue Operations to build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and insights.
Establish regular performance reviews to assess product health and inform prioritization decisions.
Continuously refine commercialization strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
Third-Party Products & Vendor Management
Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party products and strategic partners.
Define how external solutions integrate into the broader product portfolio and SMB Commerce Engine.
Own vendor relationships, including commercial terms, pricing structures, and revenue share agreements.
Monitor vendor performance across revenue contribution, adoption, and operational reliability.
Ensure third-party products align with internal productization, GTM, and enablement standards.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
Lead product commercialization forums, launch readiness meetings, and execution cadences.
Establish intake processes and prioritization frameworks for new product initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Product, PMO, Revenue Operations, and Merchant.
Operations to ensure alignment from roadmap through execution.
Continuously improve processes to drive speed, consistency, and measurable impact.

Establishes clear ownership and alignment across product strategy, commercialization, and portfolio performance, creating a single point of accountability for product success.
Drives consistent, high-quality product launches through standardized frameworks that improve speed to market, reduce execution risk, and ensure full operational readiness.
Delivers measurable growth in product revenue, adoption, and cross-sell penetration across both internal and third-party solutions.
Builds strong alignment across Product, Sales, Operations, and Revenue Operations, resulting in improved execution, clearer prioritization, and better customer outcomes.
Implements data-driven performance management with clear visibility into product KPIs, enabling informed decision-making and continuous optimization.
Creates a scalable model for managing third-party products and vendor partnerships, ensuring accountability, performance, and meaningful contribution to overall portfolio growth.
Candidate Requirements:
10+ years of experience in product strategy, commercialization, product marketing, or related roles within B2B fintech, SaaS, or payments.
Strong understanding of go-to-market execution, product positioning, and commercialization frameworks.
Experience managing complex product portfolios, including third-party partnerships and vendor relationships.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable revenue outcomes.
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with merchant acquiring, payment facilitation, or value-added services in the payments space.
Experience supporting both direct-to-merchant and channel-led (ISO, partner) sales models.
Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to support GTM execution and reporting.
Exposure to product performance analytics, revenue attribution, and KPI development.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation range: $160k-$190k
