Requirements:

  • Manage communications and reporting to stakeholders, including updates on progress, risks, and scope/timeline changes.

Job Title: Senior IT PM/Scrum Master
Duration: 12+ months
Location: 100% Remote - CA
Pay Rate: $60-$70/hr. on W2

Job Responsibilities:
This role would be a dual role. The first part would be the SCRUM Master for an application rationalization program. The second part is to manage an IT Application re-platforming project. This project has multiple technical dependencies and will need help coordinating and meeting with the different stakeholders. Day to day responsibilities include:
SCRUM Master Responsibilities (25%):
  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Organizing and leading key Scrum events like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensuring these meetings are productive and focused on the right topics.
  • Team Coaching and Support: Actively supporting the development team in following the Scrum framework, helping them to work more efficiently and effectively. This includes coaching on agile best practices and facilitating collaboration.
  • Impediment Removal: Identifying and addressing any obstacles or blockers that are impeding the team’s progress. This could involve liaising with other departments or external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed about the progress of the risk and resiliency program, including any challenges or changes in project scope or timelines.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking the progress of sprints and deliverables, and providing regular reports to management on the status, risks, and achievements of the agile team.
 
Project Manager Responsibilities (75%):
  • Project Planning and Strategy: Developing and maintaining a comprehensive project plan for the migration of "Benefit Capture" to a new platform. This involves understanding the technical dependencies and coordinating the various aspects of the project.
  • Resource Coordination: Allocating and managing resources, including personnel, technology, and budget, to ensure the project stays on track and within scope.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks associated with the application migration, including technical, operational, and project risks. Developing and implementing mitigation strategies to address these risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging with stakeholders across the organization, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and address any concerns or requirements.
  • Communication and Reporting: Regularly communicating with all project stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and changes. Preparing detailed reports and presentations as needed.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Addressing any issues that arise during the migration process, making informed decisions to keep the project moving forward.
  • Change Management: Managing the change process associated with the migration, ensuring that all users are prepared for the transition and that any training or support needs are addressed.
