Director, Digital Prescription Services

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 7+ years in healthcare product management with hands-on experience in at least two of: ePrescribing/NCPDP SCRIPT, pharmacy benefit adjudication, pharmacy operations, or pharmaceutical manufacturer services.
  • Direct experience with prescription transaction flows—from EHR to pharmacy shelf—and ability to explain node-level processes and failure points.
  • Familiarity with the pharmacy benefit ecosystem: PBMs, plan design, formulary management, copay assistance programs, specialty vs. retail routing, and how manufacturer access strategies interact with benefit structures.
  • Experience building configurable platform products on shared infrastructure (not single-tenant solutions); strong commercial instinct and ability to connect product capabilities to revenue and partnerships.

Requirements:

  • DTP Platform Strategy: Define and drive the product roadmap for the DTP platform — balancing shared infrastructure with program-specific configurability across prescription routing, adjudication, patient experience workflows, and third-party integrations.
  • Manufacturer Program Design: Translate complex commercial requirements from pharmaceutical partners into scalable platform capabilities; understand formulary decisions, channel strategies, and patient access programs.
  • Prescription Lifecycle Product Management: Own the product definition across the full ePrescription lifecycle—from prescriber initiation through NCPDP SCRIPT messaging, pharmacy network optimization, benefit verification (RTPB), Prior Authorization (PA), adjudication, and patient fulfillment.
  • Cross-Functional Execution and Partner Standards Navigation: Drive alignment across engineering, pharmacy operations, compliance, and commercial teams; serve as the product-level counterpart to ePrescribing networks, PBM integrations, and other service providers; translate business intent into clear BRDs and technical requirements while understanding where standards constrain and where differentiation lives.

Job description

Who is Prescryptive?

Prescryptive is the healthcare technology company enabling the direct access marketplace for prescription drugs. Our platform aligns incentives so affordability, choice, and patient access become the natural outcome of a functioning system. Learn more about us by following us on LinkedIn or visiting Prescryptive.com

About this role

Prescryptive Health operates one of the few platforms in healthcare that functions as both an ePrescription network and an adjudication engine — neutral infrastructure that pharmaceutical manufacturers, PBMs, health systems, and pharmacies build on top of. Our Direct-to-Patient (DTP) platform powers industry leading programs, and we're expanding our manufacturer partner portfolio.

We need a product leader who can own the DTP product vision end-to-end — someone who understands how prescriptions actually move through the U.S. healthcare system and can translate that into a platform strategy that supports configurable program delivery across diverse commercial requirements.

This is not a "write user stories and groom a backlog" role. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant strategic scope at the intersection of pharmacy operations, ePrescription standards, benefit design, and manufacturer market access. You'll report to the SVP of Digital Prescription Services and engage regularly with manufacturer partners, pharmacy networks, and executive leadership.

Why This Role

You'll have direct impact on how pharmaceutical manufacturers connect with patients - a space being fundamentally restructured right now. This isn't a speculative early-stage bet: you'll be working on a platform that already processes tens of thousands of prescription transactions daily, with direct engagement with manufacturer partners at the executive level. If you want to shape a platform category rather than optimize an existing one, this is the role.

What You'll Own

  • DTP Platform Strategy: Define and drive the product roadmap for our DTP platform — balancing shared infrastructure with program-specific configurability across prescription routing, adjudication, patient experience workflows, and third-party integrations.
  • Manufacturer Program Design: Translate complex commercial requirements from pharmaceutical partners into scalable platform capabilities. Understand how formulary decisions, channel strategies, and patient access programs shape what we need to build.
  • Prescription Lifecycle Product Management: Own the product definition across the full ePrescription lifecycle — from prescriber initiation through NCPDP SCRIPT messaging, pharmacy network optimization, benefit verification (RTPB) & Prior Authorization (PA), adjudication, and patient fulfillment.
  • Partner & Standards Navigation: Serve as a product-level counterpart to ePrescribing networks, pharmacy partners, PBM integrations, and other service providers. Understand where standards constrain us and where platform differentiation lives.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Drive alignment across engineering, pharmacy operations, compliance, and commercial teams. Translate business intent into clear BRDs and technical requirements without losing fidelity.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in healthcare product management, with deep, hands-on experience in at least two of: ePrescribing / NCPDP SCRIPT, pharmacy benefit adjudication, pharmacy operations, or pharmaceutical manufacturer services.
  • Direct experience with prescription transaction flows — you can explain how a prescription moves from EHR to pharmacy shelf, what happens at each node, and where it breaks. This is non-negotiable.
  • Familiarity with the pharmacy benefit ecosystem: PBMs, plan design, formulary management, copay assistance programs, specialty vs. retail routing, and how manufacturer access strategies interact with benefit structures.
  • Experience building configurable platform products on shared infrastructure — not just single-tenant solutions..
  • Strong commercial instinct: You've worked closely with enterprise sales or business development and can connect product capabilities to revenue and partnership outcomes.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity: We're defining a category. There's no established playbook for multi-manufacturer DTP platforms. You need to be someone who can develop and iterate on the framework, not someone who needs one handed to them.
  • Comfort with operational data: Rx volume metrics, conversion analytics, and program performance reporting are tools you use to make product decisions, not reports someone else builds for you.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience at or working directly with pharmaceutical manufacturers on patient access, hub services, or direct-to-patient programs.
  • Working knowledge of ePrescribing network requirements, NCPDP standards (SCRIPT, Formulary & Benefit), and/or RTPB & PA.
  • Prior experience in a growth-stage company where you wore multiple hats and operated across strategy, execution, and stakeholder management simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with GLP-1 / specialty pharmacy market dynamics.

What we have to offer

  • The opportunity to grow alongside an early-stage company shaking up a big, old-fashioned industry
  • Flexible time off, including 12 paid holidays
  • 401k match plus 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premiums
  • Company contribution to Health Savings Account
  • Stock options
