Job Role: Mortgage Broker Assistant

Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Provides a personalized consulting for property purchases and refinancing

Role Overview: I am seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage Broker Assistant to

support me as the broker, in delivering a seamless and efficient end to end loan application

process. This role is essential in managing administrative tasks, liaising with clients and

lenders, and ensuring compliance with Australian lending standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist mortgage broker with the preparation and submission of loan applications
  • Collect, review, and organize client documentation (e.g., income, expenses, identification)
  • Understand documentation requirements and be able to identify when additional documents are required
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, and third parties (e.g., solicitors, real estate agents)
  • Track application progress and provide regular updates to clients and brokers
  • Ensure all files meet compliance requirements under Australian regulations
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Schedule appointments and manage broker calendars
  • Support post-settlement processes and client follow-ups

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mortgage broking, banking, or financial services (preferred)
  • Understanding of Australian home loan processes and lender requirements
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (I use MyCRM and Broker Engine)
  • Professional and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
